Family

Established Value Sytem

We are very influenced by how our parents raise us, they are usually the people that we spend most of our time during our childhood with and that teach us the value system of what are good and bad decisions.

Financial Support

This mainly happend in the early years of my live, when I was still deopendant on my families money to get me through school or to provide for food and shelter.

Helps me stay grounded and is a motivator to be successful

i would like to make my familiy proud. it feels good if you can share success stories with your familiy and know that they support you through challenging times.

Keeps me motivated

Meaning I see that my actions actually have an impact and can make a difference in peoples lives, weahter it is to move towards desert landscaping to save water or to teach sustainability in my class.

Helps me identify what I would like to do in my future

Althogh I do not have a specific idea where or what I want to be when I grow up. I know that I am on the right path and i enjoy the things that I am doing and the decisions I am making for my future career.

Youth

It is good to look back at your roots and see how it defines who you are and what values you believe in.

Our youth has a lot to do with how we behave as adults. Growing up around forests and nature, toght me a lot about appreciating our environment and instilled a passion for preserving it for future generations in me.

Space

This is meant to mean the physical space that someone lives in. I think it has a lot to do with how we act and behave in our daily live.

I feel some of our decision making really depends on the area that we live in. Our lives are influenced by politics, air quality, water sanitation, transportion, and all kinds of other things that can vary widely given the space that we are currently living in. These things affect how we are making decisions on a daily basis.

People always need to be considered when making financial decisions that effect them, otherwise it can have a harmful effect on the organization and the leadership.

Kimberly Clarks work in bringing sustainability to the community is very hands on.

People are being actively engaged and can take what they learned home and practice it there as well.

The projects that they are implementing could be including other companies and encouraging the business community to do the same thing.

DQ 3

Darden Seafood Restaurants is using a sustainability dashboard to educate their supply chain.

They are going with their information directly to their suppliers intead of using a middleman.

Darden is one of the largest buyers of Seafood in the U.S. and therefore can use their economic influence to implement sustainability practices.

The work with third party entities such aa the New England Aquarium is halping to make their sustainability efforts more credible, and research based.
