Albino

Family

Miriam had her arms cut off and lost her baby

Miriams mother had to move back to help take care of her daughter and grandson when she has many other albino children

Miriam's sisters live with their grandmother and hide in the forest to not be seen

The Government

has to put into effect protection for albinos so they can be treated the same

They are not seen as people but as animals so their murders are not taken seriously

Religion and Medicine

Albinism is seen as witchcraft

Witch doctors use their body parts and hair for healing

They are more susceptible to skin conditions such as skin cancer

Education

They are not allowed in school so they cannot get careers

Education in Tanzania is not as public as first world nations so the people are uneducated in people different than them
