What is the avg. damage cost per earthquake?
From my reasearch, damage can cost anywhere from 3 million to 1 billion, but the avg is about 50 million to 150 million.
how oftn do earthquakes occur in this area?
in Greece, earthquakes usually occur in clusters of 4 or 5 a few years apart, with about 400 or 500 years inbetween.
Are the islands of Greece majorly affected?
The islands are somewhat affected by the earthquakes, but not as much as the mainland as the islands are further away from the plate border and do not get as many or as powerful earthquakes
What does the land in between and around the plate border look like?
The land in and around the plate border is full of water becaue it is part of the Mediterranean sea

Greece is near the plate borders of the african and Eurasian plate, but is located on the Eurasian plate. the coordinates are 39.0742° N, 21.8243° E

No, there are not any settlements along the plate border but they are relativly close to it, as the border is in the Mediterranean sea

to make a house earthquake - proof, or also called seismic retrofitting, can cost you up to $10,000 or more, depending on where and when your house was built. for buildings, seismic retrofitting can cost a lot, but ts worth paying the $10,000 rather than paying for house repairs after an earthquake which cost alot more or even costing the life of you or a family member.
