Lead boy

Our lead boy will wear several costumes. The first will be an extravagant costume including a fur coat and sunglasses which he wears to school, and the idea is that he has received this brand new very expensive suit for his birthday. The concept is that this outfit is completely ridiculous for school, and he gets told off for it but it does not bother him because he has happy as it is his birthday.

As we see our lead boy at the house party, we picture him wearing a stylish outfit which will make him stand out to the girls. As this is our actor's real birthday party, we can only direct him on the type of thing to wear, and we believe he will wear a modern day expensive stylish outfit. This may consist of stylish trainers, skinny jeans and a nice top/jumper.

In other shots, such as in his driveway and on the street, we will see our lead boy wearing everyday casual clothes, that a typical teenage boy would wear. These could look something like this.

Supporting Artists

These supporting artists will be appearing in many different shots, and will be the Lead boy's friends, also 'popular'. They will wear their own clothes and dress in typical teenage 'hip' outfits, such as skinny jeans, tight tops and trainers. They will be dressed like this as we want to keep our costumes as realistic as possible. Our cast will be dressed a lot like their target audience and the audience will then be able to relate.

Subtopic

Lead girl/Love interest

The lead girl would be seen in shots where the lyrics are regarding to a love interest. These shots will be mostly at the party, and the girl will have to look attractive to express the idea that she is the love interest of a rich and popular boy. In other shots that are not the party, she will just be wearing clothes such as jeans, boots, and jumpers. The reason the girl is going to be dressed like this is because she needs to look good for the lead male, she needs to be congenitally attractive so that males can also enjoy watching her (The Male Gaze). Audiences would not understand and would not take any pleasure in watching the love interest being un-attractive - it is conventionally incorrect.

Teacher

This teacher is only seen in the first opening shots, when he is telling the lead boy off. He would wear a conventional outfit of a male teacher which would be a suit. Our target audience is mainly teachers, and therefore they will be able to relate to a teacher looking like this.
