Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Preliminary task brief
filming and editing a character opening a door, walking across a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, then exchanging a couple of lines of dialouge.
Must include match on action camera shots, shot reverse shot and 180 degree rule.
How have you used the things you have learnt in your preliminary task in your 2 minute start to a film?
The things we learnt in our preliminary task became particularly useful in our scene where we had the characters talk to one and other.
We used shot reverse shot whilst the characters were talking, and also did an establishing shot before the character's conversation began.
At one point in the film one of the characters bends down and picks up a ring, for this we used match on action.
What have you got better at?
I think I have got better at performing match on action shots, panning the camera steadily, and filming establishing shots.
Have you used any different methods?
In our film we also used panning shots, birds eye view shot, close ups and canted angle.
