What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

If our film was distributed by a mainstream company, such as Warner, it would have a larger budget spend on advertising it, and would be able to be distributed into more cinemas in varied locations. This would mean more people would know about our film and it would have a bigger audience.

There's also a possibility that if a mainstream company distributed our film, we wouldn't have as much creative control over the ways in which our film is was distributed.

If our film was distributed by an independent company, which is most likely considering our films low budget, we would have less spent on distribution as independent distributors, such as Warp, have less of a budget. This means not as many people would know about our film, but we may get more creative control over how are film is distributed, and we would focus mainly on advertising our film to it's target audience.
