Fairy Tale
Common characters include royalty.Characters are either good or evil. Common elements include magic spells (enchantments), transformations, dragons, witches.Happily ever after....a common ending
Trickster Tales
Weaker character wins over a stronger one due to cleverness.
Tall Tales
Stories containing a bit of truth about the strength or incredible deeds of a person usually during the time of Westward expansion in the US that have been exaggerated over time.
Fables
Have a lesson or moral at the end.
Legends
Stories containing a bit of truth about a heroic person who lived usually in the Middle Ages that have been exaggerated over time.
Myths
Stories that explain the creation of the world and its weather and other natural occurances.
Science Fiction
