Standard game mode. There is an approach circle closing in on a hit circle. When the approach circle reaches the outer border of the hit circle, click.

First extra mode to appear in osu!. Based off the japanese drumming game Taiko Drum Master. Where the word 'oni' came from.

Second extra mode added to osu!. You control a ninja holding a plate called the Catcher. The Catcher must pile up as many fruit on itself as you can.Spinners are done a little differently in Catch The Beat. When the spinner starts, bananas will come down. During the rest of the spinner, you have to collect as many bananas with the Catcher as you can. When the spinner ends, the game continues.
