A marvel of modern genetics, the master of wisdom, with knowledge of all things

Half god and half human who comes to Uruk and saves the people. He defeated evil things that no other could defeat. His courageous actions earned him the title as their king.

Heroism

He is a protagonist because he is the main character of the story. The story is all about Gilgamesh and his journey.

Conflict

Gilgamesh's conflict was caused by internal struggles. He was afraid of death so he decides to seek eternal life bringing him many struggles, mentally and physically.

Character Traits

Wise-He was the master of wisdom, with knowledge of all things.

Heroic- Gilgamesh cut off the head of Humbaba and left the corpse to be devoured by vultures. He it was who built the ramparts of Uruk, the high walled, and he it was who set the foundation.

Determined- Shall I not die like Enkidu also? Sorrow hath entered my heart; I fear death as I range over the desert, so I will take the road to the presence of Utnapishtim, the offspring of Ubara-Tutu; and with speed will I travel.

Leadership- Gilgamesh becomes king of Uruk.

Change

He is a static character because he is courageous and heroic throughout the entire story. Gilgamesh saves the people of Uruk at the beginning of the story. At the end of the story he is still showing courageous acts by overcoming all the obstacles he is facing to seek eternal life. He doesn't change at all throughout the story.
