Neptune is the eighth planet from the Sun in the Solar System. It is the fourth largest in the Solar System, the third by mass and belongs to the giant planets. The planet Neptune was discovered by Johann Gottfried Halle on September 24, 1846

Uranus is the seventh largest planet in the Solar System from the Sun, belonging to the giant planets. Uranus became the first planet discovered in modern times and with the help of a telescope. The English astronomer William Herschel announced the discovery of Uranus on March 13, 1781

Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System. Saturn rotates rapidly around its axis, consists mainly of liquid hydrogen and helium, and has a thick layer of atmosphere.

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun, a gas giant and the largest planet in the entire Solar System. Jupiter is almost 318 times more massive than Earth and more than twice as massive as all the other planets in the Solar System combined. The planet Jupiter is the fastest rotating planet in the solar system.

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun in the Solar System. After dethroning Pluto, Mercury is the smallest planet in the Solar System. Mercury is not only the smallest planet, but it is constantly shrinking!
In a very, very slow process, Mercury is getting smaller every day. The planet is estimated to be about 9 miles smaller than it was four billion years ago.

Venus is the second planet from the Sun and the sixth largest planet in the Solar System. Named after Venus, the goddess of love from the Roman pantheon. It is the only one of the eight planets of the solar system named after a female deity. It is almost the same size as the Earth. Venus is the third brightest object in the sky; its brilliance is inferior only to the brilliance of the Sun and the Moon.

Earth is the third planet from the Sun in the Solar System, the only planet on which life is known, the home of humanity. Earth belongs to the terrestrial planets and is the largest of these planets in the solar system. The earth is sometimes called the world, the Latin name Terra or the Greek name Gaia. Earth formed approximately 4.54 billion years ago from a disk-like protoplanetary cloud along with the other planets of the Solar System.

Mars is the fourth planet in the Solar System in terms of distance from the Sun and the seventh in terms of size and mass. Named after Mars, the ancient Roman god of war. Sometimes Mars is called the "red planet" because of the reddish color of the surface. Mars is a small planet, larger than Mercury, but almost half the diameter of Earth.
