Huuuuuuu I'm really bored, why don't I go to the barn and play with the horses.Do you want to learn about horseback riding? If you do, then sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

Today I am going to tell you about the dangers of horseback riding, the health benefits it plays on the person riding and how horseback riding takes part of my life.

First, let me tell you about the dangers of Horseback riding.

Did you know that horseback riding is one of the most dangerous sports in the world? Equestrians are actually topping the list for most dangerous sport.

About 81% of riders will experience a minor injury at some point and 21% would experience a major injury. Some of the most common horse riding injuries are head Injuries, broken bones, and bruises.

Some activities like show jumping and racing are more dangerous than others like dressage, which is simply making your horse look neat while riding

Horseback riding helps with motor skills, balance, coordination, and rehabilitation. An article stated, “Horseback riding can help improve your balance and coordination, as riding requires you to stay upright and stable as the horse might make quick or even jarring movements.”

 Many people who do horseback riding find horse riding relaxing, therapeutic, and mentally stimulating. Did you know by the 19th century horseback riding was prescribed by German doctors to reduce attacks of hysteria and hypochondria.

Horseback riding also helps with improving core strength and posture, getting cardio exercise, and increasing muscle tone and strength. An article stated, “Riding a horse for 45 minutes at a walk, trot and canter can burn up to 200 calories.”

When I was around the age of 7 I wanted to do horseback riding so much but my mom never knew where to bring me to do horseback riding,

but then when I was 9 I met one of my best friends and she did horse riding so she told me about the barn she went to and than a couple weeks later i started horseback riding at Sandelwood Stables.

The reason I enjoy horseback riding is because it's calming to me even though I've fallen off a couple times but that doesn't stop me from not giving up. I find horse riding a stress free sport but it can make people lose their confidence  but I just got to say I think horse riding is my favorite sport because of Cody. He has taught me so many things in life that I want to thank that horse because he is the best and he is my whole world.
