Transporting Water And Minerals

Xylem vessels carry water and minerals from the root of the plant to its leaves .

Purpose of the book

Hollow tubes

They are in a root , as stem and a leaf.

Have strong, hard walls

They help to support the plant.

Wood is made up of Xylem Vessels .

Structure : Veins - Carry water to the cells in the leaf and Leaf stalks : Attach the leaf to the plant.

Inside Structure : Waxy Layer - Upper Epidermis - Lower Epidermis - Palisade Layer - Spongy Layer - Stoma .
