Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical engineering is a discipline that focuses on the study of the evolution of knowledge in engineering, biology and medicine to make the world a healthier place. This objective is achieved through interdisciplinary activities, among which the following two stand out:- The acquisition of new knowledge and understanding of living systems through the innovative use of experimental and analytical techniques based on the engineering sciences.- The development of new devices, algorithms, processes and systems that advance biology and medicine and in turn improve medical practice and the delivery of health services.
