Throughout the process of the school dance, I will encourage others to keep working. I would also try to listen to other members' different ideas as they can help better the dance. For example, a student may suggest moving the event to another setting or changing the decorations and music to something students would like. Nevertheless, it is a team effort, so I would motivate others to incorporate their own design, thus making the individuals feel like they are contributing rather than just following rules.
Leading
I would have a meeting with different groups assigned different tasks so I can check up on them and make sure they are on track. In addition, I would make sure everyone is properly completing their task. For instance, I would walk throughout the school to view the posters, ensuring they were appropriate for this event. If not, I would rectify the groups straying from what was planned.
Controlling
As the president, I would brainstorm ideas of what students would want in a school dance. For instance, the type of music, food, and setting. In addition, I would make sure to have an exact date and the price of the tickets as this are prominent decisions that need to be made by the president.
Planning
I would form a team of students and assign them to do specific tasks, such as making posters of the dance preparing the gym or the venue where the dance will be held. Additionally, roles will be assigned, like collecting the tickets or handing out the drinks and food. Furthermore, I would also make sure to fulfil my responsibilities as a president, such as setting the correct date for the dance, selecting the right DJ for this particular dance, and making announcements about the event and price.
