Students will observe, read and conduct research
about penguins and their habitat to create an ebook.
Subtopic
1. Students will view a live stream web cam exhibit
from Detroit Zoo and make observations.
2. Students will participate in a guided zoo tour from
San Diego Zoo (in Spanish)
3. Students will participate in a read aloud and learn how
physical features of penguins help them survive in their
natural habitats.
4. Students will label the parts of the penguin.
5. Students will research a particular species of penguin and create an ebook and video of them reading their book.
1. Students will submit their books based on
pre-assigned rubric and make a video of them reading
their book.
