Even after she was told that she couldn't sit in the front spot of the theatre, she did it anyway. Getting into her own seat at the front, and watching the movie.When the workers of the cinema went over to her and told her she wasn't allowed there, she still refused to leave. Which got her arrested, being guilty of the charge of "not paying theatre tax".

Because of her refusal of not leaving the "whites only" part of the theatre, she was arrested. Her charge was "not paying theatre tax" and was found guilty of one cent. The story of her arrest and what she'd done had spread, inspiring the Nova Scotia civil rights movement.

While on a bus, she sat in the front instead of the back of the bus, where black people were commonly seated. When a white passenger got onto the bus, the bus driver told her to move, which she refused.She later got arrested for her refusal of not moving to the back of the bus.

Rosa Parks was an American activist in civil rights, best known for her crucial role in the Montgomery bus boycott.After her arrest, that was the last straw for people, they stayed off the bus until they were given some consideration. Mostly black people used the bus, since white people had their own cars. So if most white people didn't take the bus, bus drivers wouldn't have much work that day.The USA Congress had honoured her as the "First lady of Civil Rights" and "Mother of the Freedom Movement."

After being the sports kid of the year, while being 13, the first girl to pitch a shutout game, first girl to ever win in the little league work series while pitching, she was such an inspiring person to so many young girls and other kids.Mo'ne Davis was a really accomplished person, and her accomplishments all started at such a young age, making her a big role model. She inspired kids, young girls, and even adults.She was an honour roll student and later got a college scholarship. Not only that, but she wrote a book about her life and her love for sports. Started her own shoe line, which benefitted charity, and spoke to two schools about her experiences.

She played soccer, basketball, and baseball, being the pitcher of the Little League. She was the first girl to ever win in the little work series and pitch, while also being the first to pitch a shutout. While only being 13, making her the sports kid of the year and the biggest sports story.She also won a stage champion for both soccer and softball.

Went from a student at McGill, to the University of British Columbia. Having 3 university degrees, including a Masters in Social Work.Pushing for the rights of both racism and sexism, knowing it's hard for her and others to be black or a woman, nonetheless being both is especially hard.She was the first black woman elected to a Canadian legislation and a member of a provincial legislation, being elected to the legislation assembly. She was a member of the legislation assembly for Vancouver-Burrard until 1986, spending her time there for about 14 years. She was also the first woman to run for leadership of a federal political.

Although when she was in university, she faced a lot of discrimination and misfortune, but she didn't drop out. She stuck through with her plans of getting her degree, only finding her purpose as a leader through the difficulties she faced racism and sexism.

After her owner died, his widow decided she was going to sell Harriet away. Scared by the fact she'd be sent away from her loved ones, she fled with her two brothers.Though, afraid they were lost, they headed back home. Although one night, Harriet went out and escaped in the Underground Railroad, escaping lots of times.

Harriet Tubman, formerly Araminta Ross, was born on a plantation with her family. Though she was often whipped and punished.One day while running errands, an overseer threw a two pound weight at a fleeting enslaved person, missed, and hit her. The injury left her with "sleeping spells", or narcolepsy, that'd she'd deal with for the rest of her life.

She went back to the south and going back a multitude of times to save others, after fleeing once by herself. Even after an unsuccessful escape with her brothers, she successfully escaped after that.She became a nurse during the Civil war, helping even more slaves escape again. Over the course of 11 years, she helped 300 and more slaves escaped. Never lost anyone.
