Chess players struggle to make a living off the game. One of the main challenges any chess player face is earning enough money to have a decent life. It turns out to be that as chess is not as popular as other sports there are not many investors. Also, there is a wide range difference when it comes to prices for men and women, being women prices lower than men. To solve this problem, many players have opted for giving classes, coaching, becoming writers, etc. However, it does not allow them to be full-on in their game and become stronger. To overcome this, FIDE has decided to look for more sponsors. With some success they have managed to hold the world chess championship match in the Dubai Expo, being a massive event with higher prizes than ever. On the other hand, FIDE announced in the last stage of 2021 that “Breast Implant Company” would be supporting women's chess, holding more events with more equal prizes. To conclude, sponsors are needed to offer chess players the possibility to become professional and make a living of the sport they decided to dedicate to.

Carlsen's positional and strategical style was stronger enough to overcome the aggressive and dynamic style of his opponent. In the early stage of the encounter, the Russian seemed to be in good shape, however, in the six-game it was clear that fatigue and nerves were too much for him, making him lose after seven hours of play. After that, Carlsen managed to keep pushing harder and harder to collect victories on the games eight, nine, and eleven too, winning the match without requiring to play the last three games. In summary, Carlsen’s perfect play and experience were sufficient to excel in the match. Even though the Russian did not play badly, it was quite clear his inexperienced make him lose his mind, and as consequence, be out of the game too.

Chess should be included in the next Olympiad. Even though chess is recognized as a sport, it is quite interesting that it does not take place in the Olympiad games. There is no clear reason for letting it out, as professional chess players spend the same amount of time and preparation as any other sportsman. In fact, most professional chess players train for about five to eight hours every day. Also, they have to train physically too if they want to keep in shape to hold the five to seven hours that takes to play a single match. However, chess Olympiads exist, they are held alone on a different date and place than the other games. Nevertheless, the event does not bring many spectators, and it is known almost only in the chess world. To sum up, as chess is recognized as a competitive sport it should be behold with the other games in the coming Olympiads, by doing that organizers would be giving chess more popular, and helping it to become more viable and popular.

Former World chess championship Anna Muzychuk refused to defend her rapid and blitz titles due to personal beliefs. After having won both events (rapid and blitz) in 2016, Anna stood out against Fide decision to hold the event in Arabia Saudita. First, Anna posted on her Instagram and Facebook accounts her decision towards not playing the event in that city, mentioning the next: "I do not want to be where women are treated as second-class citizens." As it is well known, there are a lot of restrictions for women in that country. After that, she received a lot of support from the media and other players. Even the current chess championship Magnus Carlsen applauded her choice. In the end, the event was still held in Arabia Saudita, but for the upcoming years, Fide compromised to pick places with fewer political and religious issues. To conclude, Anna’s tenacity and principles were stronger than any competition. She lost her tittles and a huge amount of money but still hung on to her beliefs. What a sporty woman!

Chess and checkers are both board games. Nevertheless, they are by far not the same. Chess is played on an 8x8 board, while checkers are on a 10x10 board. In checkers, there are only two pieces, while in chess there are six. Both are strategic games, and such think like “luck” does not exist. In checkers, you can only advance, capture, and promote. In contrast, in chess, you can advance, return, take/capture, promote, give a check, and checkmate. To conclude, due to the number of pieces, their movements, and the characteristics of the boards, chess is more complex than checkers is.
