Of what is matter made?

Matter exists is in the form of a solid, liquid, or gas.

According to ACS, solids, liquids, and gases are made of very small particles called atoms and molecules. The University of Colorado (PHET) provides a simulator that allows its viewers to visualize what happens when heat is added or subtracted to the elements of neon, argon, oxygen, and water in their three states. It's especially helpful to see elements made of atoms that cannot be broken down any further.

Jasmin's presentation:it was very good, it met the criteria. She was stuttering and fidgeting a bit. Her video was very clear and explain every little detail from one thing to another. One thing I would say to do better next time would be to talk more clear. I felt like i was getting to much info and i couldn't proses it. Otherwise it was really good and i loved her google slide how she explain her stuff too.Zaky's presentation:His presentation was very good i liked how he commented about some peoples presentations, it was a really nice way to add some extra stuff to his Mindomo. His links were really nice and good to. I would also say to look more to the audience and not as much to the white board.

The three states of matter are solid, liquid and gas. The particle with the least amount of energy is solid and the particle with the most amount of energy is gas. Liquid is in-between both.

An example of a solid is a brick. Inside a brick the atoms and molecules are stuck tight together. Water would be an example of a liquid and inside the water the water the atoms and molecules are moving around slowly. Now a balloon would be an example of gas. The molecules and atoms are moving very fast with each other spread wide apart.According to Chem4Kids.com, matter is everything around us. matter also takes up space and Solids are often hard, liquids fill containers, and gases surround us in the air.

What makes a substance pure, and what makes a substance a mixture?

I know that pure substances are made up of only one type of particle. But mixtures are made up of more than one type of particle. What makes a substance a mixture is when two or more substances are combined but not combined chemically.

Some example of pure substances are Copper, Gold, Oxygen, Dimond and etc.

response to conrads presentation:conrads presentation was really well done, i could understand what he was talking about and it shows that he really knows what a pure substance is. Conrad also added a lot of writing that it was a little hard to get so much info at once. I would also like to say that he did a good job talking in depth on his topic. Overall it was really well done.
