They lived in longhouses. These homes were made from wooden poles covered in elm bark.

They could fit about 20 families in one longhouse. They have 2 floors. Sleep area is on the second floor and the living area is on the first floor.

They communicate with the Great Spirit by burning tobacco.

The clothing was made out of deer hide and deer skin.
Iroquois used items from their natural surroundings to make
clothing. Fur was also used from animals such as rabbits or

porcupine quills,wooden beads and feathers were used to

decorate.
