microwaves shouldn't be on when empty

use thick, dry potholders when holding pans

pull the oven rack first when removing hot
cookware from oven

follow manufacturers instructions

open lids away from you to avoid steam burns

store oils away from stove

keep flammable materials away from oven

clean up grease build up regularly
