We learnt that in order for peace and harmony to be achieved between counties, they need to have a sort of mediation that can help them sort out the problems incase something happens to them. This hence helps them to avoid conflict and hatred as it can allow them to avoid meanless loss of lives or resources and improve bilateral ties.

Due to Kuwaiti ignoring the quota on oil production,this caused iraq to suffer a loss of profit as the main source of income was from oil production.This caused them to look for alternative ways and hence turned to Kuwaiti ,thus aggravating the situation.

Before the start of the war,Iraq was a relatively prosperous country with about US$35 BILLION in reserves.However due to the war(IRAN-IRAQ),it suffered great economic losses and faced economic decline.Thus,to pay of the debt that it owed to neighbours(US$80 BILLION) and also needed massive amounts to rebuild the country.Therefore,it had to find other ways.

After the British handed over the respective countries to their leaders,tension broke out between the two countries as the borders that were handed to them were poorly marked out by the British.Thus , this caused them to argue over a large amount of oil reserve that was lying in between the boundaries,thus causing tension to rise.
