Overpopulated, developing countries face more food shortage and scarcity of water. Uncontrolled fertility causes poverty which causes lack of food and water.
For example: Working mothers with children under 18 report that the gender pay gap contributes to poor living conditions, poor nutrition, and fewer opportunities for their children. Globally, about 60 percent of people who go hungry are female.
Had income growth been equally distributed, which in this analysis means that all families’ incomes would have grown at the pace of the average, the poverty rate would have been 5.5 points lower, essentially, 44 percent lower than what it was.
Illiteracy leads to unemployment so people aren't able to generate the income needed to run their family. This causes poverty.
1.Inadequate access to clean water and nutritious food.
2.Little or no access to livelihoods or jobs.
3.Inequality.
4.Poor education.
5.Climate change.
6.Lack of infrastructure.
7.Limited capacity of the government.
Wasting resources is also a major cause of poverty as,in big cities many activities waste resources such as water, food etc and hence there are not enough resources available to be used in rural areas.
