Definition of Integers and Opposites

An iteger is any whole number and it's opposite. That also includes 0, which is it's own opposite.

Examples 3,2,1,0,-1,-2,-3

Opposites

An opposite is a number that is the same distance away from zero on the number line as another number. The numbers are the same but have a different sign.

Examples 3 and-3, 8 and -8
