Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh was the world's oldest pic hero. He was an awe-inspiring, sparkling hero, but at first a epitome of a bad ruler: arrogant, oppressive, and brutal. He was a powerful king and warrior. He was a mixture of human and divine.
Protagonist
Gilgamesh was a great king and judge of the Underworld. He appears as "two-thirds divine and one-third human," Gilgamesh means "the off-spring is a hero." He was an awe-inspiring warrior. Gilgamesh's shattering realization that he will die and can attain immortality only by making a name for himself. He learns that death is inevitable.

Mostly External Conflict
You created this headstrong wild bull in ramparted Uruk, The onslaught of his weapons has no equal. His teammates stand forth by his game stick, He is harrying the young men of Uruk beyond reason. Day and night he rampages fiercely. Bold, superb, accomplished, and mature! His arrogance killed his friend Enkidu and he realizes that immortality does not exist.

He is athenian, optimistic, irascible, self-confident, both pious and skeptical in his attitudes toward religion, and a committed believer in the power of human reason.
Static Character
This knowledge makes me an ally of both the god and the dead king. I pray god that the unseen killer, whoever he is, and whether he killed alone or had help, be cursed with a life as evil as he is, a life of utter human deprivation. There is irony in this statement because he is the killer.
