KIND OF TOURISM - Mind Map

KIND OF TOURISM

4. Health tourism
It includes medical tourism and wellness tourism. It is a phenomenon that takes place when people travel to seek treatments that allow them to improve their living conditions, these can be, doctors who perform some type of surgery, rehabilitation clinics or spaces to help their health. Some of the reasons for this type of travel is because of the quality or economics of services outside your place of residence.

5. Cultural tourism
Within cultural tourism, the best known are religious and gastronomic tourism. This is more demanding and has the possibility of developing at any time of the year; you travel with the intention of “learning something”, since it is usually done by people with an educational level higher than average. It is common to look for historical monuments of the visited destination, the most representative gastronomic manifestations of the place and events or legends that tell the history of it.

6. Gastronomic Tourism
It is one that focuses on knowing and experiencing the typical cuisine of a country or region especially aimed at people who love and explore food (among which I include myself) or people who know art (chefs) interested in history and the beginning of is.

1. Sun and beach tourism (traditional)
It is the maximum expression of mass tourism, since the beaches in the different tourist destinations are the most visited by tourists. It consists primarily of spending a few days of recreation in a coastal destination, naturally with beach and sea, which must have public spaces for this activity. The most common is that tourists stay in luxury hotels and purchase “all-inclusive” packages that allow them to have the least possible concerns.

2. Meeting Tourism
It consists of the displacement of travelers outside their usual environment for profit. Normally it is companies that send their workers to meetings, conferences, meetings or exhibitions; These go with the expenses paid and in a way they are receiving a salary for this trip. The conditions of the visited destination are more focused on satisfying the needs of a traveler who demands the best possible services, those ranging from sets of exhibitions, event rooms, good communication channels, among others.

3. Nature Tourism
It seeks to define a more demanding type of traveler, whose main motivation is to be in contact with nature. Mainly developed by young tourists with concerns about the deterioration of the environment and concerned with issues such as global warming, social development and cultural enrichment.

This type of tourism has 3 major derivations: Ecotourism that develops in natural areas and whose purpose is the appreciation and knowledge of nature; Adventure tourism, has as its main motive, to perform recreational activities that represent an emotional and physical effort; and finally the rural tourism where the coexistence and interaction with the own people of the place is sought, knowing their culture and ways of life.
