Mendel and his peas

He moved the pollen from one plant to
another so they could cross. He studied the inheritance patterns for many different traits in peas. In one of Mendel's early experiments, he crossed a short plant and a tall plant. The result was all tall plants. Then with that F1 generation he let them self pollinate. He found that 75% of their offspring were tall, while 25% were short.

He also did an experiment with a purple flower and a white flower. The offspring of the flowers was all purple. Then in the offspring of the first generation was 75% of purple flowers and 25% white flowers.
