The Floppy Disk played a big part in the history of technology. They range in a number of sizes from 3 1/2 inches to 8 inches big. It began back in 1967 in California. It was created so then information could easily be moved from device to device. It works exactly like a hard drive today. You insert it into an adaptable port in the computer, move information in and out, eject the disk, and save it for wherever it is needed.
