It gets slightly complicated because we have free healthcare
but sometimes your medicine is not covered and if you do not
have benefits from your workplace it can be difficult to cover that expense.
As per any serious health problem it would add a
lot of stress on you and your family which can lead
to things like depression which does not help with
trying to survive a disease.
It individually impacts people in many ways, one
is that you may never be able to return to sports,
hobby or activities that you enjoyed doing before
which would significantly reduce quality of life.
Canada being a country with a pretty advanced
healthcare system does not really struggle much
with this as we are prepared for it. However, if this
covid situation does not start to get better we are
going to run in to a problem where we do not have
enough beds for everyone and this could impact
people who have gastrointestinal disease in our country
