Operative Systems - Mind Map

Operative Systems

DEFINITION

An operating system is a set of programs that allows us to manage memory, disk, information storage media and the different peripherals or resources of our computer.

The operating system also takes care of running processes. We call the memory load of our program a process, if it is not loaded in memory our program simply "does not run".

What is the Operating System for?

Operating systems use images and buttons to be able to communicate with the computer in a simple and easy way to tell our computer what we want to do at all times.

Its main function is to give us the necessary tools to be able to control our computer and be able to use it, in the most comfortable and simple way possible.

PC Operating Systems

The operating systems for PCs or desktop computers are very varied and there are many, but the most used are Windows, Mac and LINUX.
