Supporting students and foster care was an article that relates to the agency I will be evaluating due to the fact that the students in the foster care system not having programs or resources at school. Many teachers and staff are unaware that the child is in foster care, and just assume the child is having behavioral issue.
Children in foster care are placed there for various reasons, and most of the time they cause the child to develop psychological needs. Are these agencies doing all they can to provide the children programs and services to take care of these needs.
This article relates to the agency I am evaluating because they touch on the neglect and lack of resources immigrant children face when crossing the border and being separated from their families. Similar to the challenges they face in local foster cares.
This article has relevancy to the agency I will be evaluating from a concern I have about foster care training and how often these trainings take place. Once you become a foster parent you are also apart of the agency and must protect and ensure the well being of the child you have taken in.
This article relates to the agency I will be evaluating since I will be focusing on whether or not the Childs well- being is a priority and how are they making sure that all kids are recieving the necessary resources.
