Colour scheme

Black - connotes danger, evil, omen

Grey - a key signifer of mystery, silence.

All these colours (visual codes) are conventional to horror because they are bold and vibrant therefore it's appropriate to use them for my film opening. This will make sure it meets the audience’s expectations simply by recognising the genre by observing the colour scheme , therefore they are more likely to be gratified. I think I will mostly use the colours black, red and grey.

Dark blue - connotes night sky, darkness

Purple - connotes suspense, thriller, dominance

Red - symbolises blood, danger, warning etc.
