Terrorism

A memorial was created on the very footprints of the twin towers in memory of the 3000 some people who died. In this memorial, within the two footprints, waterfalls were made. These are the largest man-made waterfalls is the united states. On the outer edges of the waterfalls, the names of all the victims are printed into bronze plates. These plates were finally revealed to the families of all the victims on September 11, 2011; the tenth anniversary.

The attacks of September 11 were all key events that shaped our country's future. They changed the mindset of our country as well as the security. All the events involved air attacks; hijackings. In total, there were four planes involved with these attacks. Two planes crashed into the North and South towers of the world trade center. A third plane was flown into the pentagon. The fourth plane, after it was supposed to be headed for Washington D.C, was crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. This fourth planes landing was very significant because the passengers, knowing their lives would be lost anyways, revolted and crashed the plane earlier, saving many lives.

Modern Strategies used by Terrorists: After the attack on the Munich Olympics in 1972, terrorists began to learn more about reigning terror.
