THE BOOK THIEF

Rosa said to Liesel "from now on you are going to pick up and deliever the washing for me. Those rich people are less likely to fire us if you are the one standing in front of them"

Liesel started picking all the washing from all the rich people.

Liesel asked his dad if she can write a letter for her mama(the biological)

Hans accepted the idea, but he has a conversation with Rosa, while Liesel was writing the letter. They said she should forget her mother, because no one know where she was.

Several times, during january and february Liesel searched the mailbox for a reply to her letter.

Liesel didn´t receive a present in her birthday, because of the economic situation.

Liesel decide to take a little portion of the ironing money to send all the letters in a tiny envelope to her mother.

3 days later Rosa noticed the missing money and asked Liesel about it, Liesel can´t lie and tell her that she spent it in the letters. Rosa was very mad at hat moment.

Liesel continued checking the mailbox everyday.

Molching like the rest of Germany was preparing for Hitler´s birthday. That particular year with the development of war and hitler´s current victorious position, the nazi partisans of molching want the celebration to be especially befitting.

Everything was in place to make April 20 magnificent. It would be a day full of burning and cheering.

In Molching, each window was deorated with the German flag.

Hans Jr. and Trudy came home for t6he afternoon lunch.

HAns and Hans r. started fighhting because ans r. was in the nazi party and wanted his dad to be like him, he also criticized Liesel books and said coward to his father.

With Hans Jr. gone, now liesel was going to the bonfire.

German people were marching toward the town hall and the square.

everyone were excited and shouting "heil hitler"

the bonfire started, but Liesel wasn´t there yet.

A man started talking about Hitler and all the "good things" he was doing for them.

Liesel heard the word KOMMUNISTEN and think in her starving mother and her missing father.

Liesel was trying to get out from the crowd, but it was very diifficult because there was a lot of people, suddenly someone shout at her and it was Ludwig Schmeikl who help her to go out, to their left, flames and burning book were cherred like heroes.

Liesel was waiting for papa to arrived.

When papa arrived Liesel asked him if her mom was a communist. And her papa told her it might be, yes.

Liesel said that she hates Hitler and her dad slapped her in the face and told her to never said that again. (not in public)

The gates of the thievery would open ijust a crack, And liesel would widen them a ittle further ans squeeze through.

While Liesel´s dad was in the middle of a conversation she wandered toward the mountain of ash. A man saw her and tell her to be careful.

Liesel found the book that was still warm, and take it with her. It was blue.

Hans asked Liesel if she was ready to go and she said yes. and Hans asked her if something was wrong and she said "nothing".

Liesel couldn´t take the warm book any more, so she bent over and removed the smoking book.

Papa asked what the hell was that. and asked her if there was another stolen book. lLiesel said yes and her dad get angry.

After some time, papa decide to keep thye secret of the stolen book from Rosa.

Hans received a copy of Main Kampf in the street.

The mayors wife saw Liesel stealing the book

The first time she went to the mayors house , his wife didnt tell her anything about the book

But the second time the mayors wife invite her to come in .And she take her to a room full of books (Liesel has never seen so many books before)She ask her if she can touch the books

Then she leaves but then she realizes she forgot to thank her so she turns back, but the mayor opens the door and she stammers.

There is a storage room and there is a Jew.He is very hungry .his name is Max

Then a man arrived and he apologizes for leaving him alone for a lot of time

The man gives him a card that said he wasnt a jew .And he tells him to put the map where he is going inside the book .the man leaves

He wants to look at the book .He start pleading to a man and his name is Hans Hubermann

Liesel says the Shoulder Shrug is a very good book and she knows why the nazis didnt like it , beacause the hero was a jewish

Liesel goes to the mayors library frequently with his wife .Then Liesel ask her about Johann Hermann and She tell her he froze to death

Ilsa suffer for the death of Johann and Liesel tell her she is sorry

Liesel is playing soccer in Himmel street , and apologizes to Tommy Muller

They are all hungry so the start stealing fruit and they join a gang and they meet at the Amper River (Liesel , Rudy )

The leader of the gang is Arthur Berg and they have to climb over high barbed-wire to get the apples.

Rudy and Liesel share 6 apple each but they have to eat then in 30 minutes .And that night Liesel starts throwing up

Liesel and Rudy are at the Frau Dillers candy shop and they are arguing over a candy

Rudy and Liesel find one pfenning

Then they go to buy a piece of candy and they are ver happy

Then death tell us that Nazi Germany was wondrous place

It is november 1940

Max is in the train reading the Mien Kampf . His friend that was helping him from escaping was Walter Kugler

Walter gives him a ticket then he leaves . Max is nervous because he has to show the identidy card and maybe he can be caught

Rosa lost another costumer. Liesel and Rudy pull a job on their own .They discoverd that Otto delivers food to the Catholic Church

They would take the food from Otto and then they would go with Arthur berg because they are loyal to the gang

Then Arthutr moves to Cologne and it is the last time they saw him and he gives them a bag of chestnuts .

death said that in a few time it will bring together the stories of Liesel and Max

Max is in Molching and he has the Mien Kampf with him and he is nervous

He arrives to Himmel Street but he is too afraid and feels guilt for letting people risk their lives for him
