Connections

Examples of covenants today are, - Marrige (Is a sign of a covenant to be with your partner. Your agreeing to stick with them for life) - Baptism ( It is typically when your parents agree to raise you in the church when you are a baby. It is a covenant made between your parents and the church) - Peace treaties ( It is when two opposing people make an agreement to stop fighting/ arguing and bring peace between each other) These are all examples of modern day covenants. These connect with the covenant that God made to Noah and humanity. Just like the promises we make in these covenants, God made a promise not to flood the whole earth again.
Just like God destroying the world with a flood, there are many natural disasters today that destroy countries/cities. It could be that God is upset with the people in those areas or it could just be mother nature striking down on the earth.
Wickedness in the world today could be people not treating others with respect, disobeying God's word, disobeying our parents, breaking the law, animal cruelty etc. These are all things that are considered sins and things like this relate to the wickedness that was going on in the bible.

God's Covenant with Noah

In exchange God promised to Noah and his sons that he will never flood the earth again. This was the covenant made between God and humanity. Gods specific words were, "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”(Genesis vs, 9-11)
Fun Fact!: God had sent a rainbow in the clouds that day making a sign of the covenant between him and the earth.
God blessed Noah's sons and told them to be fruitful and fill the earth with kind people again. This time instead of just giving them green plant and fruit to eat, God gave them everything when he started fresh. God did tell them not to eat meat that still has life in it. God told them if they do this he will hold them accountable for the life of another living being

Wickedness in the World

Humans were starting to increase the population on earth. The sons of God (may have been leaders who proclaimed themselves as God) began to see how beautiful the daughters of humans were so they married any one of them that they wanted. They also had children with the daughters of humans .
Fun Fact!: This was time when the Nephilim were still around(the giants of the bible

Subtopic

God saw the cruel acts of the human race and only saw evil in the humans eyes. God started to regret making human beings on the earth and he was sad that the humans had turned out to be like this. Gods specific words were, "I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”

Noah and the Flood

The only people in the world that God could trust were Noah and his family. Noah was blameless among all the people of his time and he stuck by God's side no matter what. Noah had three sons named Shem, Ham and Japheth
Fun Fact!: God wanted the ark specifically built out of cypress wood. He also wanted the ark to be thirty cubits high. He also wanted a roof for it leaving an opening below the roof one cubit high all around.
The world was full of corruption and God could only see violence. So God told Noah that he was going to end humanity because the earth had become nothing but violent. God told Noah to make an ark for him, his family and two of every kind of animal on the earth. God said everything under heaven will perish except the lives on the ark. Noah took God's word and did everything he said.
