Public Speaking

This course introduces students to the principles and skills of effective speaking, and develops an awareness of the nature, values and uses of spoken communication. The course incorporates both theoretical and practical aspects of public speaking. Students are exposed to the process of selecting topics, writing speeches and delivering speeches extemporaneously. The use of appropriate language and visual aids are also emphasized.
