En el capitulo final la familia Otis seguía buscando a Virginia ya que había desaparecido. Luego de buscarla, ella salió de un agujero con una caja con diamantes, también le dijo a su familia que había hablado con el fantasma y que lo había ayudado a descansar. Finalmente, Virginia se caso con el Duque, el le pregunto sobre que había ocurrido con el fantasma y ella respondió que lo mantendría en secreto.

Yo creo que la principal moraleja es no juzgar a nadie sin antes conocerlo ("No juzgues a un libro por su portada") ya que muchas veces no conoces su historia o por lo que paso. Aparte que luego algunas actos pueden afectar mucho a una persona, que en este caso es el fantasma, Virginia fue la única que se acerco a hablar con el. Otra enseñanza puede ser a no ser siempre igual a tus familiares o amigos, ya que en este caso la familia Otis eran personas a las que nunca les importo el fantasma, en cambio a Virginia si, sin importar las opiniones de sus familiares.
