Basic Information About Terry Fox

Terry foxes parents were a big influence in terry's life by supporting him and sicking by him the whole way. Terry fox was a canadian athlete and a cancer activist with one metal leg due to cancer. He ran from east to west of canada to raise money and awarenss for research. He overcame cancer by knowing that he was losing his leg and getting a metal one.

Terry Fox was born July, 28 1958 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CAN. Terry Fox was the son of Betty Fox and Rolly Fox, Terry also had 3 siblings. Terry played Basketball, Rugby and Soccer. He later did long distance running in high school He was chosen as a member of the starting team of his high school Basketball team in 10th grade and was Co-winner of his schools athlete of the year award in grade 12. Terry attended kinesiology so he could become a physical education teacher. He also was chosen for the schools junior varsity basketball team.

Terry fox had courage because he ran across Canada to raise money, he was caring and he cared for all of the kids he who had cancer and all the other kids. He was such a brave soul and had cancer of his own and walked Canada west to east to raise cancer research money.
