Shelter
The homes were very easy
to take from one place to
another.
The Subartic people lived in
small groups of related familes.
Their homes were in the shape
of domed shaped tents.
Food
Food was stored in the summer
for the cold months, and the
men still had to hunt for food
during winter.
The women cooked meat
and fish in birchbark or caribou
skin containers.
Transportation
Most traveing was by foot. In the
winter toboggans were used to
carry heavy things. Toboggans
were made out of caribou or moose skin.
Caneos covered with lightweight weight
birchbark were used to travel with in
the summer time.
Main topic
Clothing
Moose skin was usally used to make
moccasins because of its thick and hard
matreial.
