Students must be made aware of the assessment methods being used
Students must be involved in the learning and assessing process (learning goals, success criteria)
Students should have multiple opportunities to demonstrate their learning
Teachers should take into account different life & learning experience
Instruction and assessment are
ONE - they must go hand in hand

the most essential principles
and skills - this is what students
should be assessed on
Assessments should respond to the multiple learning styles and intelligences
Assessment must be made flexible and should acknowledge the different skills of all students
