What is IDT

is (between learning theory and educational practice) - a body of knowledge that prescribes instructional actions to optimize desired instructional outcomes, such as achievement and affect.

is a discipline concerned with understanding and improving one aspect of education: the process of instruction - to bring about desired changes in student knowledge and skills.

is all about crafting learning objectives at a level appropriate for the knowledge and skills that are being developed, then designing learning activities and assembling resources that help learners achieve those objectives. (Dr. Mark Bullen)
