Curriculum

-collaborate with teachers on delivery of the curriculum -connect teachers with technology aligned with teaching goals -connect students with technology and resources for research -guide students in search for information & research skills -integrate learning about academic honesty, copyright, ethics -introduce use of copyright-friendly resources

Physical Library Space

-welcoming, engaging space -create a place where staff & students want to be -a place where fun & interesting things happen -make students want to find out about goings-on in the library

Classroom Websites

-help teachers set up class websites -wikis where students can contribute content -create authentic context for online literacy & citizenship -connect school with home -invites parents into classroom learning, and how they can support learning at home

Library Website

-remote access to library resources 24/7 -links to interesting sites for each grade -book review sites to help choose books -set up a site for students to contribute book reviews & recommendations -updated, evolving resources -links to web 2.0 tools with short descriptions of how they can be used -link to public library events -links to Learning Commons, copyright-friendly tools

Student Partnerships
