Paragraph: There's many careers that I'm interested in, but I decided to do a chef for mind map because I wanted to do more research on what chefs need to do, how much they get paid, what basic skills they need, and etc. After doing this project, I learned that there is a lot when it ties into becoming a chef , they have lots of responsibilities and have lots of pressure on them on doing their job right. There's many different types of chef but I decided to base this mind map on executives chefs, which are the highest ranked chefs, but the mind map talks about other chefs as well, like in the related careers. I feel that being a chef would not just be something I do as a job, but something I enjoy as well. I like making recipes, and trying different types of foods from different cushiness. I also like going to new restaurants and trying out their meals. I could say i am a foodie, because I also loving the art and process of making any type of food. I feel that this job would be suitablee for me because it is something that I enjoy doing.

Love eating food

If you love eating food, and making foods, as well as trying new recipes being a chef is probably something you would be interested in.

Different types of food

Different types of foods that you enjoy can be examples such as deserts, meats, dairy foods, fruits and vegetables.

Serving people

Serving people can be good if you have good communication skills, and like talking to other people with a good attitude.

Enjoy Making Food

Many people enjoying making different types of food, whether its from different cuisines, or it's a desert or something they make all the time.

Money

The average head chef salary in Canada is 49k a year with $25 an hour. Entry level positions start at 18k per year while most experienced workers make up to 60k per year.

A baker can mix and bake ingredients according to recipes. They can make a variety of breads, pastries and other baked goods.

Kitten helpers can help you do many things such as washing tables, cupboards, work areas, dishes, equipment and etc. They can also help to wash, peel and prepare basic food items.

Fast food cooks, cook and prepare food with a limited menu. Duties of these cooks are limited with less preparation of a few basic items involving less cooking equipment.

When being a chef, you also have to have a sense of creativity and make sure everything that's being served looks appetizing to your customers, since their opinions matter the most.

Time management is important so you don't rush meals, and take your time so no meals look uncompleted and rushes.

Planning/preparation

Planning and prepping for meals ahead of time is a big part in being a chef so you know what you're gonna put out on the table, making sure every aspect of the meal looks good.

Organization

Good organization skills are needed when being a chef, so you know where everything is and everything's kept clean.

Universities/Colleges

Universities and colleges can be helpful when applying for a restaurant chef position.

Experience

About at least 1-5 years of working experience is needed to become a chef

Degree Program

A high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree beneficial

Certificate Program

For certification, you're going to need voluntary from a a culinary foundation.

Culinary Program

With a certificate in culinary arts, students are prepared for entry level employment in restaurants and food service industries.
