Covalent bonding

A molecule is a group of two or more atoms held together by covalent bonds

THe bond formed between atoms that share electrons is called a covalent bond.

Ionic Bonding

Chemical formula

All the positive charges must euqal all the negative charges in an ionic compunds.

We show ionic bonding by using the dot and cross diagram

When metals react with non metals , an ionic compund is formed.
