Should higher education be free?

Yes

The sake of equality

Smart students who come from poor families cannot afford university fees.

Importance to society

Society needs more creative and emotionally intelligent people to solve the problems of the future.

Broaden students' minds

Giving students skills they need to succeed in life. They can think critically and make decisions.

Motivate students to work harder.

Paid university education can encourage poor students to apply for financial aid programmes and widen scholarship opportunities.

Higher education is a luxury

Paid higher education makes students recognize the intrinsic value of a university degree.

Problem for the funding of universities

This can be an obstacle for paying for professors and faculty members. It's unfair to burden the government with free higher education.
