CATEGORIES OF TRANSLATION.

Translation of material embedded in particular media

- software

It is referred to as the operations necessary to adapt national or specific versions of an application, this in order for the product to have the same utilities and options of the original language.

- Localisation

It is the adaptation of the translation process taking into account the people who belong to a certain place. determining the area and the particularities of the language of the people who live there.

Special target

- Online

It is a type of online translation that is done immediately, such as text messages, emails or information from forums.

- Community

It is considered an interpretation of a language that is used to facilitate communication between the communities of a country.

- certified

Include documents translated into another language where legally valid documents are still considered.

- Judiciary

It is the translation that is used in the courts and sometimes in the police. The documents are very broad and translators must sworn in.

It is the translation of a particular type of text. such as insurance policies, patents and CV that have become popular today.

Includes the translation of all kinds of works of fiction such as narrative, drama, poetry, and prose. Drama and poetry have some restrictions

It includes scientific research papers, such as theses and conference presentations. what is considered to contribute to the advancement of science. it is a somewhat neglected area and many scientists refuse to hire a specialized translator.

Biomedical

covers all cocuments related to medicines and pharmaceutical services. It requires experience and knowledge in medicine.

covers all legal documents, this type of translation is essential in the parliament of canada. the translator must be a lawyer, or work in conjunction with a lawyer.

Financial

includes all kinds of financial information, related to banking, taxes and economic activity.

Comercial

includes all kinds of commercial information. The translators are usually corporate or specialists in a translation company.

examples Contracts, invoices, customs documents.

Technical

It is focused on a certain industry, it is in charge of translating any matter that belongs to a special area of knowledge.

Examples. engineering, automotive field, mining, construction.

GENERAL TRANSLATION.

This type of translation refers to everything that remains after the specialized areas have been named. They are documents or translations that do not belong to any specific area. And they don't need more knowledge.

Examples. Monographs, recipe books, biographies.
