Meaning: Finding a range of something **These ways is very ideal for elementary students!

Problem: There are many steps; students need to understand why they are breaking down these numbers or else they will not be successful.

This is exactly the opposite of the array model for multiplication.

Partial Quotient

This method is very good for children because it is quick. It is better then the traditional 'long division' way.

This is a different way of doing an area/array model.

Adding

Meaning: Adding all the numbers they see instead of multiplying.

Problem: Adding up all of the wheels will not help them move past addition and bigger numbers will be challenging.
