Problem: There are many steps; students need to understand why they are breaking down these numbers or else they will not be successful.
This is exactly the opposite of the array model for multiplication.
This is a different way of doing an area/array model.
Problem: Adding up all of the wheels will not help them move past addition and bigger numbers will be challenging.
