In a person vs tech scenario the protagonist would usually have a disadvantage because an A.I. would be perfected and turn on the humans. The human will have to find a way to eliminate the A.I., in some cases it doesn't have to be A.I.. I know on t.v shows there are computers that take over buildings or a robot being controlled by people, used to kill people. I should add that in most cases the A.I. will have a major flaw in their design, like an off button, or it not being resistant to water. It can be any flaw that the creators didn't think to fix.
an example for this could be I-robot will smith has to defeat the much stronger, faster and smarter robots with the help of a few people. he has to find their major weakness which is a computer that supports all of the a.i.. He then blows it up so all the robots stop working. This shows how the human has the advantage, because they know how they are made so they know how to destroy them and that can always oppose an advantage.
person vs society
a person vs society conflict is when the minority has a different outlook on a problem from the majority. this causes a conflict of the opposing sides proving why their outlook on the problem is correct.
an example of a person vs society conflict is ready player one. in ready player one wade is the minority trying to complete this egg hunt, even though everyone else thought it was impossible to complete.
person vs nature
person vs nature conflict is when a person goes up againts a natural phenomenon, or fights natural things that would exist in our world. but in an event like sharknado it would consist of sharks but in a tornado which would not happen but still it consists of real events.
for example a person vs nature event is Jaws. Jaws is a person vs nature event because a great white shark attacks some beaches. This event is not controlled by humans, so they have to go eliminate the shark to end this conflict.
person vs super natural
this is when a person / protagonist goes up against a super natural being like the undead, or a sort of monster. this conflict will have the super natural being hunting the human. and there is usually a backstory and a special way to kill it. For example, the wolf man can be killed by a silver bullet, or Dracula can be killed by a wooden stake to the heart.
an example could be ghost busters in then movie the humans have to contain and fight the super natural ghosts and they have a special way to trap them also, by using a mechanical device that will suck them into a box, although the monsters don't have a backstory. In some cases they do like some one getting zombified
person vs self
when a person vs self conflict arises it is usually a person battling mental health in some way shape or form. when an evil mental state tries to hurt the person but the person will have to find a way to fight the mental version of them self away.
for example the joker is a normal person but his alter ego fights him to do bad things and end people lives. And he struggles to find self peace. the Joker doesn't want to do what he does, but his brain forces him to.
person vs person
a person vs person conflict is when two people have different view points. this results into a conflict which shatters into smaller sub conflicts to help the story to move along. this conflict consists of two separate view points. one viewpoint will usually be "good" and the other will tend to be "bad". That's when the feud of the protagonist and antagonist will happen.
for example in avengers infinity war Thanos wants to restore peace to the universe. but the problem is that involves killing half the universe. So the avengers think that he's trying to kill half the universe for not a good enough reason. so all the superheroes team up to fight him and they all agree that the only way to finish the battle is to kill him. So the conflict rolls out and finishes the problem and brings the "solution".
