Orientation (LTO)

Describes how every society needs to have a balance of some links with its own past while dealing with the challenges of the present or future

Comparison: - Canadas score being 36 puts us into the category of a normative society - This also tells us Canada is focusing on the present rather san salvaging for the future - While on the other hand India and Vietnam are more drawn towards the future of their countries

Individualism vs. Collectivism

Comparison: Vietnam was marked the lowest score out of the three, because this is manifest in a close long-term. Then after followed by India, The collectivist side means that there is a high preference or belonging to a larger teamwork

Masculinity vs. Femininity

Masculinity and Femininity is the way someone gender identify them self, which means being man or women.

Comparison: Since Vietnam has the lowest score which shows that they are driven by competition, achievement and success. Then ranked second is Canada, mostly a "masculine" society although Canada is strives to attain high standards the overall respect to achievement.

- Has to do with the way that our society behaves with the fact that the future can never be 100% known

Comparison: - Canadas score being the highest tells us that our intolerance of uncertainty combines with our perfectionism - Which means we worry less as a country, leading us to more innovations and confident risk taking business practices - India and Vietnam having a lower score than Canada tells us that they aren't willing to take risks the way Canada does in the business sector

Term defined by Geert Hofstede, Dutch anthropologist who studied IBM workers around the world to understand the cultural roles that take place in the business industry.

Comparison: - Since Canada has the lowest score out of the three countries, this shows Canada as a whole country has mutual dependancy between things - India and Vietnam having a very close high and score to one another determines the fact that there is no value towards communication in there countries - While Canadians value a genuine exchange of information
