plot and events

in the beginning, in the year of 1989, our story starts with an incident, an 18 yr old worker was attacked by a velociraptor during feeding time. he was rushed to a near by medical center (low budget but good hospital) to get treatment fast. they tired to cover this up by saying it was a "construction accident". but the doctor knew better. she seen various patients who have been mauled and clawed by animals. she recognizes the cuts and slashes but can't recognize the species. the boy's last words were ""Lo Sa Raptor" before vomiting blood and died in the hospital. they retrieved the body and left. meanwhile the doctor noticed that her camera was missing. looks like they were hiding something. and during her investigation, she found out what the word "Raptor" means, "Bird of prey."

after a unexpected turn of events, (insane way to start your story,) a rich family decided to take a vacation in costa Rica. they wanted to get away from the stress and hard work that's been bugging them lately. a little girl decided to go on a nature walk. until she encounters a green lizard that stood on two legs and chirped like a bird. she tried to befriend the creature like any Disney princess would, until the animal bit her. she had venom in her arm, but the effects weren't severe or anything. it just swell up. they wanted to find the animal that bit her. and they found half of the creature they're were looking for. it was eaten by a howler monkey. at first they thought it was a basilisk lizard. but turned out to be a procompsognathus.

during the investigation of the mystery creature they found, the midwife Elena Morales was about to check up on the new born baby, she heard chirping noises in the room, thinking it just birds. she once heard a rumor on this island, that if a bird would enter a newborn's room, it shall bring good luck and fortune. upon entering the room, she stumbled across three dark green lizards crouching like gargoyles staring at her. the thing was is that they were not afraid of her. and didn't run away. as soon they were staring at her, one of the compies ripped a tiny piece of flesh off the new born baby, Elena Shrieked in horror, in a primal rage, she scared away the fowl demons of the night. but it was already too late, she knew the baby was dead.

shortly after the incident back on Costa Rica, a Paleontologist and Paleobotanist known as Allan Grant and Ellie Sattler were being interviewed by a man named Martin Gutierrez. he asked him question's about Hammond's fundings into fossil research. he stated that he funded 30,000 dollars in to research for the past five years.. it was more than Alan imagined. he never understood why someone like Hammond, (who's a billionaire btw) would care so much about fossils and dinos. maybe he had a fondness of paleontology. during the interview, he showed grant the half part of the creature they found, he too recognized it was a dinosaur. but that's impossible, they been dead for 66 million years now. unless they brought them back to life.

after the interview, he received a call invitation from John Hammond himself, he wanted Alan and Ellie to come to the island to see his brand new amusement park off the shores of Costa Rica. he stated he was setting up a huge biological preserve. and it was unlike any other zoo in the world. It was known as Isla Nublar. it made the Kenya park look like a petting zoo. of course. and it's supposed to open next year on a September. btu he wanted their approval so the park can be endorsed. ( he's doing this because he's concerned about the EPA investigating his island because it would put a dent on the island's operations and control.) and they weren't the only ones to be invited, a mathematician/Chaos theorist known as Ian Malcom was also invited. and a lawyer (who is representing Hammond's investors by the way.) known as Donald Gennaro is sent there because of the recent reports and rumors of the attacks of Costa Rica. this concerns him because he thought of Hammond being untrustworthy. and he might not be wrong

Released back in 1990

he spent 8 years to come up with a draft for his story. it was originally going to be kid-friendly, but he met A lot of criticisms. they hated it. they wanted his story to be adult focused. so he grant them their wish. (he wrote a horror story rather than a kid's story.)

after a couple of rewrites and new drafts, his book became a success. it sold 6 million copies worldwide. it even brought the attention of Steven Spielberg. he loved Michael's work on the story. and Michael trusted steven to work on the film adaptation. which was also a commercial, Critical, and a box office hit.

and so, with the unexpected success of the first film and the book, steven asked him a favor if he could write a sequel of his book. because he himself wants to do a sequel. but just needs an idea from the author himself. his second Jurassic story he wrote was "The Lost World."
